WELCOME
A warm welcome to all those who have joined the association and welcome back to those who are continuing with their membership in 2024
You will notice a new website, a change in name from Yorkshire Veteran Ladies' Golf Association (YVLGA) to Yorkshire Senior Ladies' Golf Association (YSLGA) and a change in colours from green to blue.
The weather has not been kind to golfers so far in 2024 with many courses being waterlogged. Let's hope that for the remainder of the YSLGA events the sun will shine and the golf courses will dry as quickly as possible.
Gina White (Competitions Secretary) has received your entries via the club representatives for the 2024 competitions. Details of those who have been successful are listed the relevant start sheet (s) on the Competitions page.

To date, we have held the following events:
AMAM at Selby Golf Club on Monday 15 April 2024. The weather was cold and windy but the course was fully open.
The Championship was held at Oakdale Golf Club this year and 99 ladies played in challenging conditions, please see the full report for details.
The 9-hole Texas Scramble took place on Monday 17 June at South Bradford Golf Club.
The Over 65/75 competition was held at Forest Park Golf Club on a very warm and sunny day on Monday 24 June
Malton and Norton GC hosted a 4BBB event with some excellent scores.
The next event will be a 4BBB at Horsforth GC on Monday 22 July. The Competitions Secretary will be issuing a final start sheet to Club Representatives on Friday 19 July .

Emma lost her match against Jackie Foster (Bishop Stafford) 3&2, Karen won her match against Sophie Beardsall (Greetham Valley) & progressed to the Quarter Final. In the Quarter Final this afternoon Karen lost to Jackie Foster by 6&5
Ann Howard Trophy Quarter Finals:
Bet Sworowski lost to Belinda Pope (Hindhead) by 5&4 and Mary Pat Moore also lost her match against Angela Jones (Canterbury) by 5&4
We are very proud of all our Yorkshire Senior players after a hard week of golf.
3rd Round update 15 May 2024:
Congratulations to Emma Brown and Karen Jobling on making it through to the last 16 of the Wendy Taylor Championship and to Bet and MaryPat on making the last eight of the Ann Howard Championship and to Carol Simpson on narrowly missing out.
Good luck in the knockout stages on Thursday and Friday.
Also congratulations to Heather, Karen & Emma on winning the Team Gross Trophy.
Well done to all the Yorkshire Seniors who played in the Championships at York.
2nd Round update 14 May 2024:
Emma Brown is still leading after the second round in York with a score of 144 (2 Under) with Karen Jobling in 5th place with a score of 153 (+7).
Following the third round the top 16 qualifiers will play match play for the Wendy Taylor Trophy & Championship.
In the Over 60's Competition for the Ann Howard Trophy Bet Sworoski is lying in 6th place, Carol Simpson 8th, Mary pat Moore 10th, Elaine Macgregor 11th & Jane Oliver 14th.
1st Round update 13 May 2024:
Emma Brown is leading after the first round with 71 (2 under), Karen Jobling is currently in 9th place with 76.
